Milfacom: 5 advices for a better service.

1) Specify the context to your translator
to obtain a better understanding of the topic (especially if the text is very technical ) by giving him a complete documentation, even if only a little part should be translated and if possible by giving him annex documents such as articles, catalogues, reference websites…
2) Avoid to ask for a translation of only a list of words
or expressions out of their context
because it often prevents the translator from choosing the optimal terms.
3) Identify a contact person
in your company who can serve as a link between your organisation and our translation service to resolve possible problems of terminology; it is important that this person know the technical terms and the abbreviations used in the document  to be translated.
4) State clearly the « target audience »
of the document : to realise a fluent and personalised translation, we need to know the target audience of the document ( business letter for a client, advertising  campaign, manual …) and its professional or social status.
5) Use your best copy of the document :
if you have an electronic copy of the document, please send it to us by e-mail at  info@milfacom.it ; you can also send it  by mail at
